I searched "everywhere" for Belantara's 'Serikandi Di Sisi' and 'Infinity' album (in CD's) but can't find any. Acutually i got both albums (cassette), that was when i'm in secondary school but.. i can't remember what happened to it.. it just vanished :) So does anyone out there have those two albums (in CD)? Or where can i buy them?

It was something new and fresh, after BELANTARA came out with the first album just after SEARCH first album. Nothin' like it nowadays. There's not much thinking put in todays music, dude. Why not uploading all you songs in this website?
When Belantara released their songs in 87, it changed our perspective altogether. Rock was brawling hard then with Search, Wings and on extreme side Cromok.... Tried to find where to get these music and as some of us found that the classics are truly dead as no digital copies can be found. All I managed to get was a rerelease of Best of belantara (barely enough to whet my hunger) but only those ballads in there not the hard hitting stuffs like jentera pemusnah, Jebat, Panglima Angkasa and such....
Please oh please some one tell me, where can I find the digital copies of the Belantara Collection (both 87 and 88 cassettes).... Willing to pay for it. Or if you guys find it ada belas ikhsan maybe boleh upload somewhere....

i also search for it, hehehe same result new generation didn't know Belantara is one of the best group at ever born. If i can find all 3 album i will promote it back, specially Infiniti Album. Have u all ever plan to remaster the 3 album? i love to have it in the market.

Yeah me too. I am in late 30s already and still listen to Belantara instead of Siti Nurhaliza. I thought i was the only one Belantara fan left! After years of searching the net, all i have is best of belantara, and some from first album (Belantara, Jebat, Jentera Pemusnah & Dewi), and 9 low quality digital version from Infiniti and Srikandi album.
However I wud be grateful if you guys can publish teh box set. Willing to pay up to couple of hundreds if they are digitally remastered and contains all the songs from all your albums... seriously.

I truly love Belantara!! I deemed its music was well advanced before time... Aku dengar lagu Belantara setiap masa dulu-dulu, masa studies... BEST GILER. They really helped me thru my studies... sampai ler aku graduate. Huhuhu... semua cassette diorang ntah camna dah hilang.. tak tau mana aku letak... So, memang aku support habih kalau ada digital compilation of Belantara songs... or even if Belantara reunites & perform to its fans... I'm damn sure there are lots of fans... The first time I heard about Belantara when I were sophomore in Ohio. They were awesome, some of their lyrics on par with M.Nasir. Back then Metal rule the earth, Belantara could easily beat Search or Lefthanded, but they were students. Not full time professional, plus three piece band. Resources were limited, marketing almost barely because they can’t tour. They don’t have local airplay. Among us students in the states we were amazed, one of us made it in Malaysia rock scene. They studied at Washington State University. I think Belantara refers to Washington State University mascot, a cougar. They tried to put Washington State U, mascot on their album cover, but the University would not allow. Rizal has the tape that has “Menari di dalam hujan” in his beat up car – I’m surprised he still has car stereo tape, thank god it’s not 8-track fill with dang dut music ala Malaysia cabs. We were about to rent a car heading to Upstate New York, last weekend. The dude was surprised that I knew the band. Khairi nonchalantly said he personally knew them, either he’s pulling our legs or that’s true by way of his University Nebraska connection. Even without radio exposure they have huge support from college student, local and overseas at that time. You could detect some of influences of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen and singing style of Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam in their songs.

"Very the very" true Bro ... While driving with the kids home from dinner (full quorum due to school holiday) just now, somehow my fingers semantically searches "Belantara" in Spotify.
Using my veto power, all bluetooth connections from my kids devices to the car player were denied. Everybody vowed listening to my phone's Spotify of Rintihan Menara Gading, Kepangkuan Ibunda, Bunga Bangsa, Jiwa Perajurit, Dewi, Srikandi disisi, Jebat ... While I was telling them ... The music was so ahead of time, the lyrics were so intriguing and positive ... somehow the positive vibes has led me to where I am, now.
"Awat hang nak pi Amarika ..." Masya Allah ... Could still remember arwah bapak probing my interest after SPM results in 1988. Off course I gave him with strereotype answer and yet dalam hati was to follow Belantara ... Cool Rockers and yet Very Smart Dude. Almost every night, after nights light off, we were practicing "gitar kapok" down the corridor kat hostel in 1987 ... Strumming some basic chords of Dewi or Sutra.
Sampai jugak kaset2 original Belantara ke US, the songs filled up my freezing cold room without heater. Perghhh ... Precious memories !!!

as of today we're trying to get those tapes from Universal. Hopefully w're successful, then we maybe talk about rereleasing the albums, box set maybe?

Saya masih ingat lagi Hillary Ang adalah penerbit pertama iaitu album JENTERA PEMUSNAH maka dari album itulah saya katakan BELANTARA ada great music performance.Lagu yang paling saya suka sekali adalah LAUTAN CAHAYA-Lautan cahaya, 7 warna,pelangi cair didalamnya..... BELANTARA juga ada lagu patriotik ex:BUNGA BANGSA yang sepatutnya dicontohi oleh kumpulan rock sekarang.Reunionlah sekarang wahai BELANTARA, sememangnya ini adalah masanya. Dimana ZAID-suara yang nyaring rock,AZIZ-man with blistering guitar dan SHUKRI-top ten bassist in Malaysia serta BENSON(sensonist, maybe?)-the octupus drummer. Lets go,U memang punya ramai fans.

I deemed its music was well advanced before time... Aku dengar lagu Belantara setiap masa dulu-dulu, masa studies... BEST GILER. They really helped me thru my studies... sampai ler aku graduate. Huhuhu... semua cassette diorang ntah camna dah hilang.. tak tau mana aku letak... So, memang aku support habih kalau ada digital compilation of Belantara songs... or even if Belantara reunites & perform to its fans... I'm damn sure there are lots of fans...

The first time I heard about Belantara when I were sophomore in Ohio. They were awesome, some of their lyrics on par with M.Nasir. Back then Metal rule the earth, Belantara could easily beat Search or Lefthanded, but they were students. Not full time professional, plus three piece band.
Resources were limited, marketing almost barely because they can’t tour. They don’t have local airplay.
Among us students in the states we were amazed, one of us made it in Malaysia rock scene. They studied at Washington State University. I think Belantara refers to Washington State University mascot, a cougar. They tried to put Washington State U, mascot on their album cover, but the University would not allow.
Rizal has the tape that has “Menari di dalam hujan” in his beat up car – I’m surprised he still has car stereo tape, thank god it’s not 8-track fill with dang dut music ala Malaysia cabs.
We were about to rent a car heading to Upstate New York, last weekend. The dude was surprised that I knew the band.
Khairi nonchalantly said he personally knew them, either he’s pulling our legs or that’s true by way of his University Nebraska connection. Even without radio exposure they have huge support from college student, local and overseas at that time.
You could detect some of influences of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen and singing style of Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam in their songs.
Salam..remastered would be a superb and dream come true ..fresher sound..notice Belantara songs better in rythm and lead..especially for heavy songs..and subsequent arrange for a gig...Pls keep me update..tq

"Very the very" true Bro ... While driving with the kids home from dinner (full quorum due to school holiday) just now, somehow my fingers semantically searches "Belantara" in Spotify.
Using my veto power, all bluetooth connections from my kids devices to the car player were denied. Everybody vowed listening to my phone's Spotify of Rintihan Menara Gading, Kepangkuan Ibunda, Bunga Bangsa, Jiwa Perajurit, Dewi, Srikandi disisi, Jebat ... While I was telling them ... The music was so ahead of time, the lyrics were so intriguing and positive ... somehow the positive vibes has led me to where I am, now.
"Awat hang nak pi Amarika ..." Masya Allah ... Could still remember arwah bapak probing my interest after SPM results in 1988. Off course I gave him with strereotype answer and yet dalam hati was to follow Belantara ... Cool Rockers and yet Very Smart Dude. Almost every night, after nights light off, we were practicing "gitar kapok" down the corridor kat hostel in 1987 ... Strumming some basic chords of Dewi or Sutra.
Sampai jugak kaset2 original Belantara ke US, the songs filled up my freezing cold room without heater. Perghhh ... Precious memories !!!
